This text was published in 1858 and is titled Botany for young people and common schools. it is illustrated by 500 wood engravings. They are fantastic. Pictorial front cover with black cloth binding and back cover lists the Gray's Series of Botanies. 233 pages + advertisement for microscopes. Top/bottom spine slightly rubbed, light soiling on covers from age, Endpapers are plain and slight foxing in some spots, not entire pages. All pages clean and tight and NO yellow. Paper, high quality. Great book for the budding horticulturist!
