#107 of this publishers animal stories for young children. Picture cover boards. Colorful and clean. Top/bottom spine and 4 corners have slight rubbing. pictorial endpapers. Owners name sticker and personal library number are on the front endpapers. Book is from an estate of a retired school teacher and she marked her books in this fashion. Brown library tape along the spine seam and book on the back endpaper. Binding is tight. Pages all tight and clean and beautiful color illustrations throughout the book. Very nice edition to a hard to find title.

This is a golden Hour Rainbow edition from this publisher. Outstanding illustrations from John Rae. They look like water color paintings and pen and ink drawings. A variety of non-fiction subjects are told by a little boy Billy and his discovery of these subjects. Beautiful colored endpapers portraying the various subjects in the book in a postcard tpe frame on a yellow/orange background. Book is very tight and clean. Spine slightly different color from covers from shelf wear, with top/bottom slightly bent. Four corners are good. See scan. Pages are all clean and tight and on heavy highgloss type paper. A great book for the home-schooled and any collector of illustrated books.

Wonderful collection of non-fiction stories, ranging from why we celebrate George Washington's birthday to a story about Pearls and Silk. Color illustrations are breathe taking. They are like water color painting and oil paintings. Brillant in detail and color. The pages are all clean and bright and crisp and are a heavy high-gloss type paper. Endpapers are a colorful red and white and black checkerboard pattern with the red squares featuring a black picture of the subject matter of one of the stories. Covers are quite clean and spine is little faded. Top/bottom spine slightly bent from shelf wear and four corners are slightly rubbed. Wonderful edition to add to your library of illustrated books.
