The publication date is not in this book anywhere. I'm guessing early twenties because of the type of paper used. High-gloss paper. Color plates are brillant, as well as, the paste-on front cover. B/W illustrations are very neat and bright. Book is gray with the color front paste-on, black border around it. Top spine has 1/2 inch of cloth off. Binding is tight, bottom spine slightly rubbed, 4 corners, good. Endpapers are pink and beige of dragonflies, butterflies and bees. Front board has been repaired at binding seam ( archival glue, it looks like) where paper endpaper was separating. Back board in one spot, also glued. Reverse side of frontpiece color plate has inscription. 16 colorplates, very bright. Title page, list of illustrations, contents page and decorative title page have in the seam, where attached to the binding, slight stain, not in the text or the pictures. All other pages are clean and tight. Table of contents: BROWNIE AND THE COOK; BROWNIE AND THE CHERRY TREE; BROWNIE IN THE FARM-YARD; BROWNIE'S RIDE; BROWNIE ON THE ICE; BROWNIE AND THE CLOTHES. THE FAIR ONE WITH THE GOLDEN LOCK; THE WOOD-CUTTER'S DAUGHTER; THE BLUEBIRD. Hard to find edition of this favorite topic, Brownies!
