#16 in this popular juvenile boys series. Edition is 1956A-30 as found in Carpentieri/Mular book on the Hardy Boys Series. Book is tan with brown lettering and emblem on front cover. Spine also has brown lettering. Endpapers are orange Gretta, with right front one having a tiny book store stamp at the lower left corner near the binding. Plain paper frontpiece,25 chapters, 212 pages + 4 pages introducing the Rick Brant series, + another blank page. All pages are crisp, clean and tight. DJ is in brodart slipcover with minor wearing on the top/bottom spine and front cover flap folds top/bottom having slight rubbing. Orange spine wtih the boys pictured in red circle, BUT circle also has white border. Underneath that is the' Hardy Boys Stories', G&D symbol and then the spelled out publishers name and then the volume number. Back cover lists Rick Brant ( in color picture) series, 1-11, inside flap lists Tom Swift, jr. series 1-7, front flap listing 1-35 of this series. Very nice edition.

Book tan and dark brown lettering on spine and front cover with the HB emblem on the front cover in brown. Top/bottom spine are VG as well as the 4 corners. Endpapers are the orange Gretta. Right front endpaper has a tiny bookstore stamp on the bottom edge near the spine. Plain paper frontpiece, 214 pages, 24 chapters. All pages, clean and tight. DJ is in brodart slipcover and is very, very nice, with only a tiny bit of wearing on top/bottom spine and slight rubbing of the top/bottoms of the flap folds. Yellow spine edition with the G & D emblem above the publishers spelled out name, Boys in red circle witht ' Hardy Boys Stories ' below them. Volume number below the publishers name. #1 in this popular juvenile boys series. This edition is a 1959B-50. It is the introduction to the 3rd cover art, 1st printing of the revised text having 22 chapters instead of the normal 24 or 25. Revised statement is on the copyright page. 5 plain paper illustrations plus the front piece. Book is tan tweed with the dark brown lettering on front cover with emblem and author's name. Bottom spine is slightly rolled, top spine is VG, as are the 4 corners. 180 pages all clean and tight. DJ is in brodart slipcover and is fair. DJ is wrapped through the spine, with same boys emblem in the red circle, but now below it says Hardy Boys Series, instead of Hardy Boys Stories, the volume number is directly under that and then the publisher. Lettering is all in white. Flap folds, top/bottom have tiny chipping, top/bottom spine and minor chipping and wearing is evident on the bottom fron edge. Top front edge has a small closed tear near the spine edge. Back cover bottom edge has small piece of tape and top edge has minor wearing. Back cover is clean and lists the Tom Swift, Jr series, 1-13. Inside back cover listsTom Corbett 1-8. Front inside covers lists 1-38. Very nice 1st printing.
