This book is one of the ' Pleasant Hour Series'. 5 color plate illustrations, including the frontpiece. The frontpiece has been repaired, and the print on page 15, has clear tape on the inside edge and along the bottom edge, where there were a slight tear. The picture itself, has No repair. 48 pages to the story and then 8 pages of advertisments of other books by this publisher. Book is red cloth with a color picture front. Top/bottom spine rubbed and beginning to fray, very slightly, as are the 4 corners. Nice color picture paste on front cover of the brownie and black cat looking on. See scan. Back cover has tiny little bit of soiling. Pages are godd but not of the best quality paper that I have seen on other books by this publisher. There was no date of this printing but I judge it to be in the 20's.
