Beautiful, 1927, M.A Donahue publication of the Gruelle classic tale, Wooden Wille, originally published by Volland, CO. in 1927. Book is colored boards, on blue back ground and blue bound spine. Edges of the covers have slight rubbing, as do the 4 corners. Top/bottom spine are very good. Covers are bright and clean, same picture front and back. Pictorial endpapers, very colorful. 95 pages all clean and bright, no tears, no writing. Gorgeous color illustrations throughout. High gloss type paper. Very nice. DJ is in Brodart slipcover and is poor. Chips along top and top back edges, top/bottom spine, front cover has closed tear, repaired by tape. Four corners of the flap folds also have chipping. Inside flaps are plain. Some closed tiny tears on front flap fold, repaired from reverse side, clear tape. Fantastic edition for the Gruelle collector.
