This is a 1st edition of this book in the windemere edition. Inscribed 1913, Xmas and also the only date on copyright page, no other books listed. Book is olive green tweed wtih gold lettering, and paste-on color picture front. Top/bottom spine and 4 corners are excellent. Pictorial endpapers 16 color plates including the frontpiece, exquisitely done by Milo Winter. Pages all clean and tight. DJ is in brodart slipcover and is poor. Chips on lower left corner into spine, small chip on lower front cover edge and right corner into the flap fold. Closed tear on the front cover over the ' O ' in Wonder. Chip on the top edge of the back cover nad along the bottom edge. Top/bottom spine also have chipping. Covers are clean and picture is bright. Inside flaps have been clipped. Book is excellent and a hard to find edition with DJ.
