#273 of this Rand McNally series, orginially published in 1925, stating on the copyright page that this is the 1939 edition. 7 stories, Mish-e-mik-wa, King of the Grizzlies, stilty Legs, the Young Moose, Little Big Ears, Sally Ptarmigan, Nan-nook, the White Bear, Broadtail the Beaver, Croaker, The Old Crow. 125 pages all clean and tight, with slight aging beginning along outer edges. Black/white drawn illustrations, very nice. Listed as 5-12 years reading ages. Great stories. Green boards with picture front cover. Some scuffing on both boards, Top/bottom spine and the 4 corners. Binding is tight and covers are clean. Very nice edition. Owners name and personal library number neatly written on the 2 front endpapers. Book is fron an estate of a retired school teacher and she marked all her books in this manner.
