One of several titles by this author . Book is medium green with black lettering and a black, thin line border. Covers clean. Top/bottom spine and 4 corners are slightly rubbed. Pages are slightly yellowed but not brittle. 275 pgs. + advertisements. Book was originally published by Grosset & Dunlop and estimated reprint date on this book is early 30's. DJ is in a mylar cover. Front cover has two chips, one on top by spine edge, and the bottom, by spine edge.Top/bottom spine also have minor chipping. Back cover has wearing along top edge and on the bottom edge there is a tiny chip toward the fold. Top/bottom of flap folds have tiny chips. Jacket is a wrap jacket with continuous picture. Inside back flap lists series for boys and girls. Front inside flap list Alger series. Great old series for boys.
