One of several titles in this series, by Garis. originally published by Grossett & Dunlop and this reprint is probably around the early 30's. Book red cloth with black lettering and thin black line border on front cover. Top/bottom spine are slightly rubbed and bottom spine is slightly faded where light has hit from the chip on the jacket. Pages are slightly yellowed but not brittle, 261 pages. Jacket is in a myar cover and is poor. Rubbing along both flap folds and tiny chips on top/bottom of the flap folds. Bottom spine has about a 1" chip out that takes out the publishers name. Top spine has some chipping. Back cover is good. This is a wrapped jacket and is pictorial on both covers. Color is good. Front flap lists the Alger series and back inside flap lists boys and girls series by this publisher. Great old series.
