One of many titles in this series by this publisher. Book is dark green tweed with series emblem on front cover and spine. Top/bottom spine are slightly rolled; 4 corners, good. Covers clean. Endpapers have impression of the dj. Pages are clean and tight. Owners name , neatly in pencil on title page. DJ is in mylar cover and is quite good. Front cover is colorful and has ont tiny tear ( repaired on the reverse side), and slight wearing along the edges. Top spine has a little wearing; bottom spine has small chip; back cover is white and clean and lists the horse stories in this series. Copyright date is 1940, but guessing that this is a late 40's or early 50's reprint. Nice edition.
